I believe in promoting policies that protect and ensure the freedoms and liberties guaranteed to every California through our Constitution. If California were a sovereign nation, it would rank as the world's fifth-largest economy. Too many Californian's are being left behind. Housing is unaffordable and regulations on business have gotten out of control. It's said California has the worst quality of life. We need to cut the red tape to bring back jobs, cut taxes, and fix our crumbling infrastructure.
I have been an educator all my life and I am smart enough to know I am always learning. Bureaucrats in Washington D.C. think they know all the answers, but we know that's far from the case. Common Core has been a complete disaster and a repeated one-size fits all educational system is not the answer. Education needs to be localized with options for school choice, merit-based teacher pay, and charter schools.
